Children's Village Child Care

Curriculum and Tuition

We use the Creative and Emergent curricula as our guides, but we do not limit ourselves to these alone. The teachers focus greatly on socialization and cooperative play, developmentally appropriate ways to teach academics, and the emotional well-being of the children. Children’s Village establishes an environment that allows each child to pursue his or her own interests. Opportunities are provided for all children in sensory activities, language skills, gross and fine motor skills, creative expression and problem-solving. Children are screened for developmental levels using tools that are appropriate to their age groups. This enables staff to plan for individual and group needs.

The day’s schedule includes structured group time and free time choices that are planned in relationship to the week’s curriculum. The day is planned to provide as much opportunity for individual attention as possible. Interesting developmentally appropriate activities always draw children’s attention. However, a child has the right to participate or the choice not to participate. We allow every child the right to withdraw from an activity at their choosing.
